Scan your food. Keep it free.

Food tracking, made simple
Illustration

Vora is a free food barcode scanner inside a health and fitness app. Scan a packaged food, review the match, choose your portion, and save it to your food log.

  • Basic barcode scanning is free
  • Available on iPhone and Android
  • Check the food and portion before saving

From the packet to your food log

Use the scanner in the Vora app. You do not scan food on this website.

  1. Open the food scanner

In Vora, open nutrition logging and choose the barcode option. Allow camera access when asked.

  2. Scan the package

Hold the barcode flat in view. Vora looks for a matching food record.

  3. Check and save

Check the brand, nutrition label, and serving size. Set how much you ate, then save the entry.

What does free mean?

Basic barcode scanning is included in Vora Free. You do not need Vora Pro to scan a food barcode. Vora also has a paid plan with other features.

A successful scan depends on finding the product in the food database. A barcode does not contain a full nutrition label, and no food database covers every product.

The portion matters as much as the scan

A match for a cereal box might show nutrition per 100 grams. Your bowl might contain 45 grams. Check which amount the record uses before logging.

Recipes, pack sizes, and labels can change. If the record differs from your package, use the package label. If the scanner cannot find the food, search by name or enter the food manually.

Coming from MyFitnessPal?

MyFitnessPal lists its barcode scanner as a Premium feature. If that is the feature you need, you can try Vora Free with a few foods you buy often.

Start with today. Set your goals, scan a regular meal, and check your food log before deciding whether to move your routine.

Common questions

Is Vora a free barcode calorie counter?

Yes. Basic food barcode scanning is included in Vora Free. A matching record lets you log calories and macros after checking the food and portion.

Does it work on Android?

Yes. Vora is available on Google Play as well as the App Store.

Will every barcode work?

No. Some foods are missing from the database, and some records can be out of date. Check the package label and use search or manual entry when needed.

Is this a product safety scanner?

No. This page is about logging food nutrition. A barcode match does not establish whether a food is safe for an allergy or a medical condition.
