Getting Started
How do I connect Apple Health to Vora?
When you first open Vora, you'll be prompted to connect to Apple Health. You can also enable this later in Settings → Health Integration. Vora will request permission to read your fitness and health data to provide personalized coaching.
What data does Vora access from Apple Health?
Vora can access workout data, heart rate, sleep patterns, steps, and other health metrics to provide personalized coaching. You can control exactly which data types to share in Apple's Health app settings.
How do I start my first workout?
After completing onboarding, tap "Start Workout" on the main screen. Vora will suggest a personalized workout based on your goals and fitness level. You can also browse workout templates or create custom workouts.
Features
How does AI voice coaching work?
Tap the voice button during workouts to chat with your AI coach. Ask questions about form, get exercise suggestions, or request motivation. The AI analyzes your workout history and health data to provide personalized guidance.
Can I create custom workouts?
Yes! Tap "Create Workout" to build custom routines. Add exercises from our database, set target reps and weights, and save templates for future use. You can also ask the AI coach to create workouts based on specific goals.
How do I track my progress?
View your progress in the Stats tab, which shows workout history, strength gains, and health trends. Vora automatically syncs completed workouts to Apple Health and tracks your improvements over time.
Troubleshooting
Apple Health data isn't syncing
Check that Vora has permission to read health data in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Vora. Also ensure Background App Refresh is enabled for Vora in Settings → General → Background App Refresh.
Voice coaching isn't working
Ensure microphone permissions are enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Vora. Check your internet connection, as voice features require connectivity. Try restarting the app if issues persist.
App is running slowly or crashing
Try force-closing and reopening the app. Ensure you're running the latest version from the App Store. Restart your device if problems continue. Contact support if crashes persist.
Account Management
How do I change my profile information?
Go to Profile → Settings to update your name, goals, preferences, and other account details. Changes sync automatically across your devices.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account, or contact us at jai@askvora.com. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your workout data and progress.
How do I export my data?
Contact us at jai@askvora.com to request an export of your workout data and progress. We'll provide your data in a standard format within 30 days.
Nutrition Tracking
How does photo food logging work?
Take a photo of any meal and Vora's AI instantly identifies the food and provides a full macro breakdown - calories, protein, carbs, and fat. It works with home-cooked meals, restaurant dishes, and packaged foods. You can also use the barcode scanner for packaged items.
How accurate is the AI food recognition?
Vora's AI is trained on millions of food images and provides accurate macro estimates for most meals. You can always adjust the portions and ingredients if needed. The AI improves over time as it learns your eating patterns.
Can I log food by voice?
Yes! Just tell Vora what you ate - for example, "I had a chipotle bowl for lunch" - and the AI will estimate the nutritional content and log it for you. No typing required.
What nutrients does Vora track?
Vora tracks 35+ nutrients including macronutrients (calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber), vitamins (A, B12, C, D, E, K), minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium), and more. Your nutrition goals are personalized based on your biology and activity level.

What is the Vora Health Score?
The Vora Health Score is a 0-100 composite metric that combines your sleep quality, nutrition habits, recovery status, vital signs, and activity levels into a single number. It updates daily and helps you understand your overall wellness at a glance.
How does HRV tracking work?
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is synced from your Apple Watch, Oura Ring, WHOOP, or other connected wearables. Vora analyzes your HRV trends to determine recovery status and recommend whether you should train hard, go easy, or take a rest day.
What sleep data does Vora analyze?
Vora tracks total sleep duration, sleep stages (Deep, REM, Light, Awake), sleep consistency, and sleep quality scores. This data feeds into your recovery score and helps Vora adjust workout timing and intensity recommendations.
Will Vora tell me to take rest days?
Yes! Vora proactively suggests rest days when your HRV is significantly below baseline, sleep quality is poor, or strain levels are elevated. You'll see a card like "Take a rest day - HRV 20% below baseline" with Yes/No options.
Meditation & Mindfulness
How do I start a meditation session?
Simply ask Vora by voice: "Give me a quick meditation for stress" or "I need a 5-minute breathing exercise." Vora's AI will guide you through a personalized session based on your current state, recovery data, and preferences.
Does meditation affect my recovery score?
Yes, meditation and mindfulness activities are factored into your overall recovery and wellness metrics. Vora may suggest meditation when your stress indicators are elevated or HRV is low.
What types of meditation does Vora offer?
Vora offers guided breathing exercises, stress relief sessions, pre-workout focus meditations, post-workout cool-down sessions, and sleep preparation meditations - all delivered through natural voice AI coaching.
Cycle Tracking
How does cycle-aware training work?
Vora adjusts your workout intensity and type based on your menstrual cycle phase. During the follicular phase, Vora may recommend higher-intensity training. During the luteal phase, it may suggest lighter workouts and more recovery. All adjustments are automatic based on your tracked cycle data.
What cycle data does Vora track?
Vora tracks period dates, cycle length, fertility windows, ovulation predictions, and symptoms like energy levels, mood, and cramps. It also syncs with Flo and Apple Health for existing cycle data.
Is cycle tracking private?
Absolutely. All cycle tracking data is encrypted and stored securely. It is never shared with third parties and is only used to personalize your training and recovery recommendations.
