Vora Help Center

Answers to common questions about the Vora app on iPhone and Android. Each article answers one question first, then covers the steps, what differs between iPhone and Android, what is free and what needs Vora Pro, and the limits.

Vora writes these articles about its own app and checks them against the app code. Last checked .

iPhone, Android and Apple Watch

  • Does Vora work on Android?

Yes. Vora is on Google Play and runs on Android 8.0 or later, with food and workout logging, the AI coach, Health Connect and direct connections to Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, WHOOP (beta) and Samsung Health. There is no Vora app for Android smartwatches, and a few features, such as the bloodwork PDF export, are iPhone only.

  • Does Vora work with Apple Watch?

Yes. Vora reads your Apple Watch data through Apple Health, and the Vora Apple Watch app lets you log strength sets, record outdoor runs, walks, rides and hikes, and see your Sleep, Recovery and Strain scores. Strength sets you log in Vora count toward muscle recovery and strain, while the Recovery score comes from your overnight HRV, resting heart rate and sleep.

Wearables and health apps

  • Does Vora work with Garmin?

Yes. Vora connects directly to Garmin Connect on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports workouts, sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, VO2 max and more. Garmin’s Body Battery and Training Readiness scores are not imported.

  • Does Vora work with Oura?

Yes. Vora connects directly to your Oura account on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, body temperature deviation, blood oxygen, activity and workouts. Oura’s Readiness and Sleep scores are not imported.

  • Does Vora work with WHOOP?

Yes. Vora has a free direct WHOOP connection on iPhone and Android. It is in beta with limited spots, and it imports HRV, resting heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, sleep stages and workouts with strain, but not WHOOP’s recovery score or day strain.

  • Does Vora work with Fitbit?

Yes. Vora connects to Fitbit directly on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports sleep, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, activity, workouts and more. Direct spots are limited while Google verifies Vora’s Fitbit access, and on Android, Health Connect is another route.

  • Does Vora work with Samsung Health?

Yes, on Android: Vora reads Samsung Health data through Health Connect, and a direct Samsung Health connection on Android 10 or later adds Samsung’s Energy Score, skin temperature and body composition. Samsung Health does not share HRV, resting heart rate or respiratory rate with Vora, and there is no Samsung Health route on iPhone.

  • Does Vora work with Health Connect?

Yes. On Android, Vora reads up to 22 types of Health Connect data, including sleep, heart rate, HRV, workouts, nutrition and weight, with the permissions you choose, and it can write the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora back to Health Connect. Health Connect is Android only, so on iPhone Vora reads Apple Health instead.

  • Does Vora sync food and workouts with Apple Health, Health Connect and Garmin?

Yes for Apple Health and Health Connect: Vora writes the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora to them, with your permission, and reads the food and workouts other apps share there. Garmin works one way: Vora imports your Garmin workouts and health data, but it does not send food or workouts to Garmin Connect.

Food and nutrition

  • Can Vora log food from a photo?

Yes. Take a photo of your meal, or pick one from your photo library, and Vora identifies the foods and estimates their nutrition for you to check before you log them, free on every plan on iPhone and Android. You can also log food by barcode, by speaking or typing a description, or by searching the food database.

  • Can I track nutrition and recovery together with a Garmin or Oura?

Yes. Vora logs your food and imports sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from a direct Garmin or Oura connection, free on every plan, so your meals, your Sleep and Recovery scores and your workouts are in one app on iPhone or Android. Your calorie and macro targets do not change automatically with your recovery.

Workouts, readiness and recovery

  • How does Vora’s readiness score work?

Vora’s readiness score is a 0 to 100 score that decides whether your daily plan suggests training or rest. With sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from a wearable, it weighs muscle recovery from your workouts (35%), last night’s sleep (20%), HRV against your two-week average (20%), training load over the past week (15%) and resting heart rate (10%), and below 40 Vora suggests a rest and recovery day.

  • Can Vora build workouts from my wearable data?

Partly. Vora’s AI writes workouts from your recent training, per-muscle recovery, goals and equipment, and workouts your wearable records count toward that recovery. Your wearable’s sleep, HRV and resting heart rate feed the readiness score that decides when to suggest a rest day, and turning a suggestion into a workout needs Vora Pro.

Bloodwork and texting Vora

  • Can Vora read my blood test results?

Yes. Upload a lab report as a PDF or a photo, up to 25 MB, and Vora reads each marker’s value, unit and reference range for you to check, then graphs every marker across your reports. Vora does not order blood tests and does not interpret or diagnose your results.

  • Can I text Vora to log meals and workouts?

Yes. With Vora AI Text you can text Vora over iMessage on iPhone or RCS on Android to log meals and workouts by message, food photo, voice note or barcode number. It is free on every plan with 10 messages a day, or 100 with Vora Pro, once you link your number in the Vora app.

Plans and pricing

  • What does Vora cost, and what’s free vs Pro?

Vora is free to download and use on iPhone and Android, including food and workout logging, every health data connection, Bloodwork and 10 AI chat messages a day. Vora Pro is listed at $12.99 a month or $89.99 a year and adds 100 AI messages a day, AI-generated workouts, more workout suggestions, choosing which device powers each metric, and Deep Health Reports.
