Fixing sync problems

Why does my Apple Health data arrive late or not at all?

Usually one of three things: Vora is not allowed to read that data in the Health app, iOS has not woken Vora to sync yet, or the source app has not written the data to Apple Health. Check Vora’s access first. Apple does not tell apps which data you switched off, so Vora cannot warn you about it.

Check Vora’s access in the Health app

  1. Open the Health app.
  2. Tap your profile picture at the top right.
  3. Under Privacy, tap Apps, then Vora.
  4. Turn on the data you want Vora to read.

You can also get there from the Settings app: Privacy & Security, then Health, then Vora.

Let iOS wake Vora

Apple Health can wake Vora when new data arrives, but iOS decides when. Turn on Background App Refresh for Vora in Settings, then General, then Background App Refresh. Low Power Mode pauses it.

Apple Health data is protected while your iPhone is locked, so some updates wait until you unlock it. Opening Vora always syncs, and on the Activity screen you can pull down to sync again.

Check the source app

Vora reads what your apps and devices write to Apple Health. Open the source app, let it finish syncing, and check that the record appears in the Health app.

Keep Vora up to date

Install the latest version of Vora from the App Store. Sync fixes ship in app updates.
