Vora reads recipes from public TikTok captions on Android and iPhone. Open your saved food library, choose Saw a recipe on TikTok?, paste the link, and review the recipe before saving. It reads the caption, so the recipe needs to be written there.

  • Recipe import is free
  • Reads the post’s caption
  • You review it before saving

Save a TikTok recipe on Android

Copy the TikTok post’s link, then open your saved food library in Vora.

  1. Tap Saw a recipe on TikTok?

This row opens Import from TikTok. Paste the link into the TikTok link field if it is not already filled in.

  2. Tap Read the recipe from this link

Vora looks for recipe text in the post’s public caption.

  3. Check the draft and save

Review the ingredients, quantities, servings, and any steps shown. Tap Save to my library. Tap Saved to your library to open it.

Save a TikTok recipe on iPhone

Copy the post’s link. In Vora, open Saved in the food logging options to reach your food library.

  1. Tap Saw a recipe on TikTok?

Paste the link into Import from TikTok. A copied TikTok link may already appear in the field.

  2. Tap Find the recipe

Vora reads the caption and shows a draft when it finds recipe ingredients.

  3. Review and save

Compare the draft with the original post. Tap Save to my library, then Saved. Open it in your library to view the saved recipe.

The recipe needs to be in the caption

A video may show a great meal while its caption only says “try this tonight.” That is not enough text to import a recipe.

Vora reads the public caption. It does not watch the video, transcribe the audio, or read recipe text from comments. If the ingredients only appear there, use the original post to enter the recipe yourself.

Check it before you log it

Check the ingredients, amounts, and number of servings against the original post. A saved recipe and a logged meal are separate: saving keeps it in your library for later.

When you log it, use the portion you actually ate. Review any nutrition estimate, especially when the caption leaves out quantities or serving details.

If the post will not import

Check that the link opens a public TikTok post and that its caption lists the recipe ingredients. Private or deleted posts may not be available.

If Vora says there is no recipe in the post, try a post with a written ingredient list. Repeating the same link will not add ingredients that are missing from the caption.
