How we rated the Ultrahuman Ring AIR
★★★★★3.8/ 5, Vora editorial rating

Our own assessment of a device we do not sell, weighted across six dimensions: accuracy 30 percent, coverage 20 percent, battery 15 percent, value 15 percent, comfort 10 percent, app and ecosystem 10 percent. Every score links to an independent 2024 to 2026 source.

Accuracy76

At-rest heart rate and HRV track close to Oura, but the headline claim rests on a 6-person vendor pilot and independent testing finds sleep staging variable and readings unreliable in hard exercise, so it is strong not benchmark.

Vendor pilot of 6 volunteers over six days, 36 sleep sessions and 2,349 HR readings: sleep HR MAE 2.4 bpm vs FDA-approved SleepImage and 2.6 bpm vs Apple Watch (RMSE 3.9 bpm), a small sample rather than a large independent PSG study; independent reviewers note it is unreliable during high-intensity exercise. Ultrahuman Science (vendor pilot)

Coverage & features84

For a passive ring it delivers broad useful metrics (sleep, HRV, RHR, temperature, cycle, stress, SpO2) plus a paid native CGM pairing; the missing GPS and screen are out of category and it claims no measured VO2 max.

Reviewer rates it 8.5/10 as best for sleep and recovery tracking, calling native continuous glucose monitor (CGM) integration a unique strength unavailable on rival rings, while noting it is weaker for high-intensity workouts. Robb Sutton long-term review

Battery58

Reviewer-tested battery lands well below the marketing claim and behind Oura, with some units degrading within months.

Real-world battery measured at 3.5 to 4.5 days despite the up to 6 days marketing claim, with reports of decline to 1 to 2 days after 6 to 9 months in some batches. Robb Sutton long-term review

Comfort86

Among the lightest wearables you can own, comfortable enough to forget in daily wear.

At roughly 2.4 to 3.6 grams it is described as about 11 times lighter than an Apple Watch Ultra, with users reaching sensory adaptation within 48 hours. Robb Sutton long-term review

App & ecosystem78

No-subscription, actively updated app with a unique CGM add-on that can feed a coaching app like Vora, though the interface is dense and an ongoing US patent ban clouds long-term US continuity.

Over six months the app is called nice and intuitive though the language can be too technical, with the Ultrahuman team actively updating firmware (02.00.11.46 installed) and the mobile app. Liviu Nastasa 6-month review

Value72

No-subscription pricing beats Oura on total cost in principle, but a 2025 ITC ruling bans the Ring AIR from US sale so US buyers cannot actually purchase it at the 349 dollar price, weakening the value case there.

The Ring AIR is 349 dollars one-time with no subscription versus Oura Ring 4 at 349 plus 72 dollars per year, but an ITC exclusion order effective October 2025 bans the Ring AIR from US import and sale, and as of July 2026 only the successor Ring PRO (479 dollars) ships in the US.
