Fixing sync problems
Why does my Health Connect data arrive late or not at all?
Usually one of four things: Vora is not allowed to read in the background, Android is pausing Vora to save battery, your wearable’s app has not written the data to Health Connect yet, or Vora needs an update. Check them in that order. You should not need to sign out and back in.
Allow background access
Without background access, Vora can only read Health Connect while it is open, so new data waits until you open the app.
- In Vora, tap the gear at the top left of Home to open Settings, then tap Connections, then Health Connect.
- If you see Keep your data fresh, tap Allow all-day sync and allow Vora to access data in the background.
- If nothing opens, open Health Connect, tap App permissions, then Vora, then Additional access, and turn on Access data in the background.
Stop Android from pausing Vora
Android can hold back apps in the background to save battery. On the same Health Connect screen in Vora, tap Battery settings if it appears, and let Vora run without restrictions.
Some phones, including Samsung and Xiaomi models, also put apps to sleep. If Vora is on a sleeping or restricted apps list, take it off.
Check the source app first
Vora can only read what your wearable’s app has written to Health Connect. Open that app, let it finish syncing, then open Vora.
Keep Vora up to date
Install the latest version of Vora from Google Play. Sync fixes ship in app updates.
After days without syncing
If Vora has not synced for a while, catching up can take several syncs, especially with a wearable that records heart rate every few seconds. Keep Vora open on Wi-Fi for a minute, and open it again later.
Vora writes this help article about its own app. Get Vora on the App Store for iPhone or on Google Play for Android. If something here is out of date, email support@askvora.com. Editorial policy.
