Fixing sync problems

Does Vora need every Health Connect permission?

No. Vora syncs whatever you allow in Health Connect and leaves out only the data types you switch off. Cycle tracking, or anything else you do not want Vora to read, can stay off.

What a switched-off permission changes

  • Vora keeps syncing every data type you allowed.
  • The metric behind the permission you switched off stays empty in Vora.
  • Cycle tracking is only used by Vora’s cycle features.

The Finish connecting Health Connect card

Vora shows this card on Home when data its scores use is switched off: steps, heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, workouts, active calories or distance. It also shows it when VO2 max or water is off. It never asks for cycle tracking.

Tap Grant to allow the missing data, or close the card. Vora keeps syncing what you allowed either way.

If Grant or Review permissions does nothing

Health Connect stops showing an app’s permission screen after you decline a permission it asks for twice. Vora cannot bring that screen back, so turn the permission on in Health Connect itself.

  1. On Android 14 or later, open your phone’s Settings and search for Health Connect. On Android 13 or earlier, open the Health Connect app.
  2. Tap App permissions, then Vora.
  3. Turn on the data you want Vora to read.
  4. Open Vora again so it syncs the data you just allowed.
