Wearables and health apps
Does Vora sync food and workouts with Apple Health, Health Connect and Garmin?
Yes for Apple Health and Health Connect: Vora writes the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora to them, with your permission, and reads the food and workouts other apps share there. Garmin works one way: Vora imports your Garmin workouts and health data, but it does not send food or workouts to Garmin Connect.
What goes where

| Workouts you finish in Vora | Written, including the route of an outdoor run | Written | Not sent |
| Food logged in other apps | Read, when those apps share it with Apple Health | Read, when those apps share it with Health Connect | Garmin sends no food data to Vora |
| Workouts from your watch or other apps | Read | Read | Imported through the direct Garmin connection |
Apple Health on iPhone
- Each food you log in Vora is saved to Apple Health as a food entry with up to seven values: calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and caffeine. The other nutrients Vora tracks stay in Vora.
- Water is saved on its own. Vora also writes finished workouts, including the route of an outdoor run, mindful sessions and sleep you log by hand.
- Vora writes to Apple Health only while the Apple Health connection is on in Vora and you have allowed those categories.
- Vora reads food that other apps, such as MyFitnessPal or MacroFactor, save to Apple Health, and skips its own entries so nothing is counted twice.
Health Connect on Android
- If you allow it, Vora writes each meal with calories, protein, carbs and fat, plus the water and finished workouts you log.
- Meals and water you delete in Vora are removed from Health Connect too.
- Vora reads food that other apps, such as Cronometer or MyFitnessPal, write to Health Connect, and skips its own records.
Garmin
The direct Garmin connection only reads from Garmin. Vora imports your workouts, activities, sleep, heart rate and other health data, and it does not send meals, water or workouts back to Garmin Connect.
Garmin Connect can also share its data with Apple Health or Health Connect, where Vora reads it.
Oura, WHOOP and Fitbit
Vora’s direct Oura, WHOOP and Fitbit connections only read data. Vora does not write food or workouts to those accounts.
How to turn it on
- iPhone: in Vora, open Settings, then Connections, then Apple Health, tap Connect & Sync, and allow the categories you want Vora to read and write.
- Android: in Vora, open Settings, then Connections, then Health Connect, tap Connect, and allow the data types. Writing meals, water and workouts needs their write permissions.
- Garmin: in Vora, open Settings, then Connections, then Garmin, and sign in to Garmin Connect.
Limits
- Vora writes only the values listed above for each meal. Vitamins, minerals and the other nutrients Vora tracks are not written to Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Vora does not import a complete food diary from another app. It reads the nutrition records that app shares with Apple Health or Health Connect.
