App Comparison
The Short Version
Athlytic is a focused Apple Watch recovery dashboard. Bevel is a broader health platform that includes recovery, strain, sleep, and nutrition across multiple wearables. If you only own an Apple Watch and want a clean WHOOP-style daily score, Athlytic is the right pick. If you own multiple devices or want recovery plus nutrition in one app, Bevel is the better choice.
What Athlytic Is
Athlytic is iOS only and Apple Watch only. It reads Apple Health and produces three daily scores: Recovery, Exertion, and Sleep. The interface is clean, opinionated, and built to be checked in the morning, not browsed all day.
Athlytic does one thing very well. It does not try to be a workout planner, a nutrition tracker, or a meditation app.
What Bevel Is
Bevel is broader. It combines recovery scoring with sleep depth, strain or training load, and nutrition tracking in a single product. It pulls from Apple Watch, but also from Oura, Garmin, WHOOP, Fitbit, and other connected devices.
For users with a mixed device stack, Bevel reduces app-hopping. For Apple Watch only users, some of Bevel's surface area is unused.
Depth vs Breadth
The cleanest way to think about it: Athlytic is deeper on the recovery moment. Bevel is wider on the health picture. Both produce daily scores that look similar in screenshots, but the apps around those scores have different intent.
Athlytic will not help you track meals. Bevel will. Bevel may feel busier than Athlytic if all you want is a single morning recovery number.
Pricing
Athlytic Pro is around $24.99 a year with a usable free tier. Bevel's full feature set is also subscription-based, with prices in a similar range. Both are dramatically cheaper than a WHOOP membership.
Accuracy
Both apps depend on the underlying device data. Apple Watch HRV is influenced by fit, charging time, and watch activity. Oura HRV from a ring is more consistent overnight. If you wear a ring and a watch, Bevel can pick the more reliable source. Athlytic uses Apple Health, so it inherits whatever Apple Health has.
Who Should Choose Athlytic
Pick Athlytic if you only own an Apple Watch, want a focused WHOOP-style recovery dashboard, and prefer a clean single-purpose app you check once a day.
Who Should Choose Bevel
Pick Bevel if you own multiple wearables, want one app that covers recovery, strain, sleep, and nutrition, and value breadth over a single recovery score. See our Vora vs Bevel comparison for how Bevel stacks up against a full AI coach.
The Coaching Question
Neither Athlytic nor Bevel will write your workout, set your nutrition targets, or rebuild your week when sleep collapses. They tell you how you are. They do not tell you what to do. Vora is built for that decision layer, on top of whatever recovery app or wearable you already use.
